Oliver Johnson m. Anna Lawless
Oliver lived near Lyons, Nebraska. Anna lived near Decatur. The towns are about 17 miles apart, so they had opportunities to meet at house parties, dances, and other events that happened in the area. Anna was Catholic and Oliver was not. They were married in a Catholic church in Bancroft (NW of Lyons) and settled in house about 1 mile west of Lyons. The church record notes that Oliver was not Catholic and they had to get approval from the Bishop.
Oliver and Anne Johnson had 8 children – Victor, Mary, Bessie, Leo, Dorothy, Eileen, Kathleen, and Jeannette. The family picture was taken in 1941. Anne is on the right, Oliver was not present.
