Oliver was a grandson of Jens Jensen who immigrated to Nebraska in about 1869.
Jens Jensen was born on 13 Nov 1820 in Denmark and died after 1899 in Millard NE. Buried in Voss-Mohr Cemetery or Springwell Cemetery. Other names for Jens were John Johnson and Jens Johnson. (Jens is a diminutive of Johannes.) Jens married Ane Nielsdr (Anna Nelson), daughter of Niels Nelson, on July 6, 1845 in Denmark. Johannes Jensen (John Johnson) – father of Oliver, was born on 15 Nov 1856 in Denmark, died on 10 May 1897 in Lyons NE at age 40, and was buried in Lyons Cemetery, Lyons NE. John Johnson married Margaret Curley and they had seven children. (One died when she was an infant.)
